As a side note I saw the isles play at Barclays on Saturday. It was a strange experience to say the least, awful sight lines definitely not designed for hockey at all (obviously) Everything about it seemed 'makeshift', also the ice even seemed more off center then I expected. I'm sure they will improve some things but I wasn't thrilled with what I saw.

Been hearing the same from people who went, several of whom were pretty jazzed about moving to Barclays and are now having second thoughts. No surprise as the place was never designed with hockey in mind - everyone should have expected the messy layout they were presented.
As for the new Coliseum... yawnsauce. Their anchor tenant will be long gone by the time any work is done. Unless they can move the Soundtigers here immediately after the renovation, I will have no interest whatsoever in that place.
if the renovated coliseum is going to hold about the same number of people as the Barclays, but be much better suited for watching hockey, why not just keep the team in Nassau?
At least we won't hear you call it the mausoleum anymore
It can't be the Mausoleum without the Fish Sticks. I will miss them both. Seeing Rangers vs Isles at Barclays seems ridiculous.
