Depends on where you live - is your house part of an HOA? I don't see why ornaments wouldn't be allowed, except for the latter. And I agree with 33to66at55. Definitely pink flamingoes. And a garden gnome.

I actually would have had to worry in my old subdivision in Mt. Pleasant. Here, I didn't have to ask to even change the color on the front door and shutters. Nobody takes advantage of it in my neighborhood, and I like not having to get a bunch of permits.

Excuse me?? I'm 100% Italian. We don't call it Mary on a half shell because the niche isn't a shell . That must be a wanna be Italian Long Island thing. I grew up in Queens and we never called it that.
