I see if often, drivers that swing to the left while making a right turn & swinging to the right while making a left turn. Do drivers realize they're engaging in this dangerous maneuver?

Obviously you never watched the Pixar movie Cars. Sometimes to go left you have to turn right.

I can see doing it safely in a tight u-turn to increase the turning radius. But for simple turns, that's just poor driving.

The Ole Button Hook. Clear indicator of poor driving skills.

It's frustrating when the driver has a left turn lane and blocks part of the through lane because they can't handle a left turn without drifting to the right.

they think they're going to hop the curb if they don't do it - that's why semi-drivers and long-pickup drivers do it. The only other time you should be doing that is when parking into tight spots.

I sometimes do this. It's because my car has a huge turning radius, unlike my old car (Volvo) which could pivot on a dime.
