Among the many things my parents taught us, my Dad was a WWII, and respect for a VET (INCLUDING ACTIVE DUTY) and the Flag were tops in his book. When ever I see a VET or active duty person I will always say thanks. It is one of the things that his two daughters have learned well.!!!!
