Need to rent an apt/house for 6 months until the end of the school year. We checked out the Avalon properties...which are ridiculously expensive, however, I did like the unit in Westbury Avalon. Has anyone lived there? Experiences? Noise problems? Safety issues?
We also checked out the Avalon in Melville and it was old and more expensive than Westbury, but I just want a safe place to call home for a few months.
Its harder to find a house since we have 2 dogs and many of the home rentals require 2 months, plus first months rent. Who has that kind of money to shell out??
I'm gathering this is the former Archstone Meadowbrook Crossing on Merchants Concourse? I've heard bad things about it, actually had to be rebuilt because of mold problems and shoddy construction. People still complain about problems there with thin walls, but if you're only staying for 6 months it's probably tolerable. It is close to everything, you even have a Fairway just a short walk away.
