In a situation like that, you call the police again and tell them what transpired (the music went back up when the cops left). Cops hate getting dispatched to the same place twice on a loud noise complaint. They know when they're being toyed with.

Just an FYI, during a state of emergency, such as we had last year, it's completely legal to operate snowmobiles and ATV's on the roadways.

There was mobile Taco stand that had very load generator and was working whole night. I couldn’t sleep at nights. I complained to police and some noise department – but nothing happened. I had to go and talk with owner of the bus and ask him to purchase new generator. Thankfully, after month or so he did it.

I would never complain about a once in a blue moon occurrence from normally quiet neighbors (like a graduation party, family bbq) no matter how irritating it might be. Within reason, people have a right to do things at their home.

I live in what most consider a desirable community. I had the misfortune of moving in next to the village derelicts. Single mom with a few 20-somethings that have their friends over at all times. Day and night. It's a horror show. Hootin' & hollerin' all the time, fighting, screaming at each other, loud cars, loud music. I have never called the cops. I have never complained.

He puts garbage bags on his porch and parks a van in the street. If they keep it up, he's going to start draining his pool in the street and then join the volunteer fire dept.!

I mow the lawn at 5:30am. Only on their side. I leave it idling for a while right by one of the bedroom windows.
