I have had both dish network, and currently have directv....directv is the way to go. Better boxes, better picture, and better options. I love it!

Dish is marginally cheaper than DirecTV but the product isn't as good. Plus if you're at all interested in purchasing either the MLB or NFL package Dish is not an option.

As for satellite versus cable, the picture clarity with satellite is superior, the remote more intuitive and most importantly everything works reliably. The one knock against satellite is that bad weather can interfere but that's rare, enough so that it's not a legitimate concern.

How is the pricing for satellite compared to Cablevision?

Also, does satellite offer the internet and home phone service as well? And how do they compare in terms of internet speed etc.?

Thanks

I know that Directv offers a partnership with verizon for internet and phone service. Directv is awesome but, you must be mindful of the price after the promotional period ends.

DISH is very limited if you have any interest in Sports.
