....landlords Pakistani buffet & catering opening in spring
Thanks fo that info. Although I have been out of NY for years I was trying to remember the name of the ice cream palor my parents took us to when we were kids. Jahn's is it.
Thanks!
Wow, another true NY institution bites the dust. I used to take my squad there when working in Queens. I was introduced to Jahn's while living on Kingsbridge Road in the Bronx. My parents took us there as kids until it became a Beefsteak Charlie's... I think it's a bodega & cuchifrito place now. I am also a past customer of the Ave U, Brooklyn Jahn's which is a Chinese Restaurant!

I had not been there in years because I do not live anywhere around there, but I love ice cream places. I miss Grammas in Port Jeff . We do have one still in Bay Shore ( I can't remember the name), but nbres would know. It is truly an old fashioned fountain type place.
there is always Eddies Sweet Shop on metropolitan ave...not sure if thats forrest hills or glendale or even something else....homemade whipped cream and great ice cream....
these old landmarks are few and far between nowadays
Whoa, that is sad news. There used to be one in Eastchester, NY in Westchester County. I loved their pizza burgers and any kind of sundae. It closed several years ago. We still reminisce about the place and what fun we had going there after football games. :-(
