There are I believe 18 transit oriented multiuse hubs being built all over Long Island for that very purpose. Some are in middle class towns, some are in more neglected areas.

Yes! long island is building more developments next to train stations to please the city folk.

unfortunately here's the problem either way Long Islanders can't win. If you don't opening up business and are expanding jobs that's not helping, but if you build more jobs that creates more traffic, so not much we really could do
