Month to Month rentals in Garden City/Mineola area (Hempstead: extended stay, apartment complexes)

We may be between houses for a little while in the near future, and in the event we need to rent while we are searching for a new house, I'd like to avoid signing a 1 year lease. Is anyone familiar with any apartment complexes in this vicinity that sign MTM leases?

I suggest looking into the Homestead Suites on Westbury Avenue/west of Glen Cove Road in Carle Place. It is located on the Mineola/Carle Place boarder. I believe they offer extended stay suites with kitchens and other amenities that might fit your temporary needs. It is worth checking out their website.

The Avalon on the border of Garden City and Hempstead will do MTM leases on their apartments, but it's quite expensive.

Don't know if they have overcome their mold problem but Archstone in Westbury used to offer short term leases.
