Do you think snow plow drivers enjoy plowing in your driveway? I know they have a job to do but recentley I've witnessed more than one person waving their arms and pleading as the plow fills in the driveway they just shoveled clear.

While yes, unpleasant - what do you expect them to do?
Come out and shovel you out? Lift the plow and leave that patch of road un-plowed?
The snow has to go somewhere and side of the road is the only place to put it. if your driveway happens to be there - so be it.
The plows are angled towards the curb so that the snow can be pushed and left on the side. If the plow passes a driveway that has been entirely cleared out, the snow has nowhere to go but into your driveway. Its the laws of physics, not the plow drivers.
I had a plow guy yesterday see me shoveling the mountain at the end of the driveway, he came over and plowed the majority of it out of my way. I would have tossed him a few bucks but he took right off. Was way cool of him!

That has once happened to me, and I saw another town plow driver plow a senior's driveway.
Kudos to Town of Oyster Bay plow drivers. Great guys!

I think most try to be courteous if they see you out there cleaning. But as the others have said, the snow has to go somewhere and the towards the curb is where it goes.

Agreed. Where else are they going to put the snow? I shovel my driveway with the full expectation that I'll have to reclear the opening once the plows come through.
We were outside shoveling and the driver plowed our driveway apron clear for us as much as he could get. If you're not looking they wouldn't care to plow you in. They're doing their job and that's all that matters.

Exactly.
Although i'm assuming that if you show them some leg, it may get them to help you more.
