Hi, we are thinking about buying a house in Syosset or Jericho school districts and I'm trying to figure out my commute to mid-town Manhattan every morning at around 8:00 AM. As I understand, finding a parking spot at any of the 3 closest LIRR stations (Syosset, Hicksville & Westbury) at that time would be almost impossible. I would like to know, is there any street parking allowed and/or available near these stations at that time? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

8am as in getting on the 8am train or getting to your destination by 8am? Because there are likely still spots at 730 at Hicksville.

Hello,

Most spots fill up by 7:30 AM. There used to be street parking but the Town of Oyster Bay has been putting up 2 hr. parking only signs. I am trying to see if other commuters would be interested in trying to get the town to be more accommodating to commuter parking. There are many commercial ares that say no parking, and that doesn't make sense. Please give your input as to how we can work together to bring about change to make this better.
