Currently looking to purchase a home within the next year in the Levittown area, ive been looking at levittown and the homes around $400k but i always wonder if i can get something better in a similar area. ill be commuting to the city for work, this is why i would like to stay as close as possible to the city. my budget is $430k max, ill be putting down %20. What towns do you recommend? any input on Levittown?

Levittown is fine, good area.

There are closer areas to the city though & also Levittown doesnt have a train station.

I have noticed the taxes are kind of high there...

Bellmore, Merrick, Lynbrook I think are good commuting towns for that budget

They'd be a better commute but there's very little inventory in that range.

Levittown is a nice middle-class area that's very family-friendly.

Very true. Levittown has more inventory in your price range.

You may find a smaller home in Lynbrook, Valley Stream or Oceanside. All are relatively close to the city and have good schools which should keep values up.
