The survey of the property we are eyeing states that 1/4 of backyard is "Drainage Reserve Area to the State of New York".
There are 3 drainage holes towards the back of the yard (that area slopes down). But the area seems pretty dry, even after the torrential rains we had last week.
A few questions - does that mean that that part of the yard is property of NYS?
Is value of property affected due to this? The lot is 2 acres.
