Thanks for the info. I will check out both areas at some point. Those two spots - Nesconset/Lake Grove are spots to check out to see the type of vibe etc.
Thank you for your thoughts. I will be checking out both areas. How long usually is it to get to the LIE during rush hour commute? Ten minutes?
during rush hour it could be tough if you're using Nichols, it's only 1 lane in either direction. I imagine you would find a better way via side roads in Nesconset. 10 minutes might be do-able.
Lake Grove is more north than Nesconset, so it would take much longer to get to the LIE.

This house is a short drive - 5-10 mins to the LIE exit 59 depending on traffic.
Outside of it only be a 2 bedroom, my biggest concern would be issues with the water table. This is situated in the pocket between Spectacle, some ponds, and the County Park -- lots of water around.
If you're seriously interested in it, get it inspected. It appears to be a flip, who knows what was covered up.
It is certainly worth considering as a starter home.

Why would he spend money to get it inspected when he has said MANY times he is not buying a house for at least 2 years?
Didn't we already SHOW you you can't afford $1200/mo.?
