When will we know if the strike is definite or not???? I hate the not knowing of whether of i'll be fired or not.

Probably right before the deadline. Its what they do.

I don't work for lirr. I DONT want them to strike, I use lirr every day. But I support their discission if they need to.

The contingency plan is a joke. Where is the info about the buses they are providing from the 4 train stations?

Make plans to stay in the city NOW. Buy your friends dinner one night, buy them some wine or beer - they'll be happy. See if you can rotate amongst friends. It won't last more than a few days. Try to think of it as an adventure.

Hey guys, just a heads-up; for anyone whose employers say Telecommuting is an option, but you need a place to work out of with reliable internet, etc., Mangano is providing temporary work space in Bethpage:
