Packed & delayed train with a "special" Jamaica stop today and a NWS flood advisory alert on my phone at 3am, 5:15am & 6:43am respectively.

I'm having an uber amazing morning, how about you guys?

getting bombed with txts with 30-90 min delays on the LIRR. For once, I am happy not to be on the LIRR this summer.

Lots of delayed and cancelled trains this AM and PM! Yup what do you expect, it's the LIRR afterall.

The one amazing occurrence was on my train ride home, the vent in the conductor's area was wide open, so the torrent of rain water was coming in and flowing down to the lower level of the car. It was like a raging river at first, but it started to accumulate and when I got to up to de-train, it was ankle deep. Yup, the LIRR... going no one's way.
