Hello
I'm moving to Long Island to work in Jericho, and I'm confused between finalizing apartment complex in North Babylon and Hauppauge. Apartment rental in N. Babylon is $35 more than in Hauppauge. Please let me know which of the two are better to live and safer and also the commute to Jericho from there.
Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks

What apartment complex?

Both areas are pretty much the same but your commute from NB to Jericho would be at least 1/2 hour less than from Hauppauge.

Between somerset village and fairfield hauppauge? Any feedback on the complexes?

1/2 hr really, ok so I guess I should settle with Babylon then.
How about bayshore manor in bayshore?
Thanx for the feedback

Commute-wise, if your going to work in Jericho then North Babylon wins since it's closer.

Safety-wise, both are about the same. I don't hear about this type of issue from either town and i'm familiar with both.

Appearance-wise, Hauppauge wins.

Amenity-wise, North Babylon wins b/c there's tons of shopping&restaurants on Deer Park Ave and there's two large Malls nearby.

Good luck.

Hauppauge is NOT 30 minutes farther away from Jericho vs North Babylon.

JMO, but I would much rather live in Hauppague than N. Babylon.

But after looking at the location of both apartment complexes, the one in NB seems to be a nicer setting.

Thanks for the feedback... and I'm still confused now sorry...

I also want to take a look at Fairfield Commack as well... Yes appearance wise , the apartment complex Hauppauge looks better, but its smaller than Somerset Village...

By nicer setting of Somerset , do you mean the location where its set?

For N. Babylon, is the LIRR close by and how is the route to NY Penn Station from N.Babylon?

What about LIRR from Hauppauge?

So its a short commute to lots of shopping centers and malls in N. Babylon? That would be beneficial.
Hauppauge appeared to be greener and more suburban , but N. Babylon appeared cozy and nice as well.
I just hope to finalize this soon...

IS there an alternate / shorter/ better route to 495 from N.Babylon to JEricho? There's just too much traffic on highways ! What could the commute be like on weekday? I would work 8:30 am -5:30 pm in Jericho.

Hauppauge doesn't have a LIRR station. You'd have to use the station in Central Islip. There is a LIRR station in Babylon. Commack residents I believe use the Deer Park station.

Commack is a nice, very safe area. I would recommend checking it out.

I would opt for either Hauppague or Commack - nicer areas IMO.

No Bab to Jericho would most likely be SS pkwy to rt 135 north , 495 west to rt 107.
