You are delusional if you really think that you purposely driving 55 is teaching others who would otherwise drive faster. They will pass you. I will pass you.
Here's the funny thing about the LIE...IT HAS LANES. You know, 3 lanes side-by-side, that allow for a maneuver called PASSING. When such an individual such as yourself insists on proving their point, the other 99% of the automobiles on the road use these LANES which are designated by dotted white lines and PASS YOU.
Your persistence is irrelevant. Also your attempt to anger readers by stating that you do 55 in the HOV is laughable.
What is sad 30to66at55 is that you will never understand or realize that you are the bigger cause of road rage and accidents than speeders will ever be, regardless of what the law says. The sooner you come to terms with that, the better.
Wouldn't it be great if the insistent driving you demand actually causes an accident for someone else and they die. I assume you feel justified and vindicated because you proved your point, albeit in an ironic fashion...since had you not intervened to cause a road block, a person's life could have been spared.
I'd also like to add that while I don't agree with you, I am also not insisting that you drive like me. I am merely stating that you stay out of the way. I can't and won't make you drive faster...that's idiotic. In the same breath, you can lecture the internet 'til you're blue in the face, but you can't MAKE drivers drive slower, regardless of your driving methods.
You will learn and I will teach you patience. For the safety of all.
Most accidents happen in parking lots where people drive stupid slow already.

Why do you keep hiding behind "the law" if you mentioned you would only go 55 in a 75 area? I'm really trying to understand what the malfunction is. If you really want safe, don't even drive a car because those statistics are not on your side. Even if you go 55, someone going 75 into your rear can still kill you. The speed limit on some roads should be raised.
Those speeding past the current rates should be ticketed and fined. Steeply I might add.
The cops who witness someone dangerous going 20MPH over the speed limit or driving like a fool and resist following them or taking down their plates and later observing such behavior, should be terminated.
Laughable? I do 55 in all lanes of the LIE. Are people passing me...sometimes...but most of the time they can not.
And 55 mph saves lives.

55 had nothing to do with saving lives.... it is was all ruse in the 70s to save gas, supposedly.
going 0 and sitting in your car in your driveway is safer than going 55 on the road, that part is true.
