Default Oil Prices

Just signed with Meenan at $3.49 cap. I was on a market price contract with them and latest price for a June delivery was $3.89.

At first, they gave me a $3.84 cap, and that was a special new customer price but then agreed to go down to $3.65 cap. I called Lewis Oil and got a $3.49 cap price so I called Meenan back and guess what "Oh, Lewis is our sister company, we don't want to see you leave, we'll match that price."

Slomin's is offering $3.39 fixed price at the mall with a $120 24/7 contract so who knows. I'm sure the cap will never go down, though Meenan said they're currently delivering at around $3.40/gallon so i'm shocked to see they filled someone up at $4.25. Well, not really shocked - all those companies are a ripoff since there's no basis for their market price that anyone can verify - wish i had gas.

I locked in $3.49 from Petro a couple of months ago. Was with Lewis, they said the same thing...oh Petro is a sister company, we can match their price. I told them they should have when I first asked so Im with Petro now.

I can't believe you go with Petro. I've seen their trucks do 50 in a 30mph zone. You are doing business with potential murderers.

This thread is about heating oil prices. Please keep your angst about speed limits to another thread.

Petro's speeding trucks pertain to heating oil. It is very relevant. I will continue to educate people and they will listen.

I was going to sign with Petro until I read this. There's no way I'd do business with a company whose trucks speed through residential neighborhoods. Thanks for the info!

Hmm, before it was $3.52, now it's $3.49. Proverbial fish story.
