BTW, I've gone over 120 and never got pulled over.
When you kill a few people I hope Big Leroy, your cellmate, goes easy.

If you read it right, it's even good for instant-on against traffic in front of you.

driving to work this morning on WB NSPwky and I've been seeing this yellow Lambo lately on the weekends. This morning he was going exceptionally fast. Blew past me, blew past everyone and just kept going out of sight.

I was doing like 60, maybe some other cars going 70. this guy, well over 90 the way he was moving.

so I figure I'm either going to see him in a wreck or pulled over as I travel.

Nothing.

I always see these guys going a crazy speeds but never see anyone ever busted. Only the tier 3 and lower vehicles.

Do they all have police scanners or something I'm missing?
Yellow Lambo spotted in Oyster Bay this evening. Wonder if its your buddy.

The car doesn't matter.
I've seen all different makes serpentining through traffic at ridiculously high speeds.
A majority seem to be the little imports that sound like weed whackers, at least in my observations.

When you're alerted to a laser being used it's too late, they've already got you. Laser is vehicle specific, so if you're alerted, you're already being painted and your speed had been detected.

What does vehicle-specific mean? It just means they're shooting 1 particular car, even if one in front of you. And that can be detected to warn it is happening.

Laser detection: A detector with one laser sensor can detect laser beams in front of you, but not behind you or off to the sides. 360-degree laser detection uses two sensors to look for laser pulses to the sides and behind you. Models with 360-degree laser detection tend to be more reliable, but more costly.
And what is the % of speed traps who use laser?

Right they're shooting 1 specific vehicle. If the vehicle in front of you is targeted, your detector won't pick it up. LIDAR is simply light aimed at a specific vehicle, and it needs to be pointed at something reflective - license plate, head light, taillight, etc. At 1000', the beam is only 3 feet , so there's virtually zero room for error.

Sometimes it's cool to just let people go and be. If you've not been pulled over count your lucky stars and keep it moving. Oh and when you get enough money to buy a Lambo you too can drive at 90, 100, 110 or whatever your little heart desires.
