Hello. Has anyone done a conversion to a high efficiency combi-unit for your heater/boiler? If so, what are your impressions? We are hearing conflicting stories from plumbers and it's very hard to make a decision.

THanks!

The Mod-Con Boilers are fantastic units. The idea behind them is that they run at lower temperatures, extracting more of the heat from the flu gasses, saving $$. Piping them in to existing systems can sometimes lead to disappointing results, have a professional assess your existing emitter system.

As far as the combi units, I'd prefer to have a storage tank still. I like the more consistent temps you get from a tank when toggling the hot water on and off.

I like Veissman units.
