Ahh so I see the district line is at Clay Pitts. Anyway, I have relatives and friends who live over there. We liked a house on Grover but ultimately my husband felt it was too far from the train. But a nice area whether north or south of Clay Pitts. Only drawback is the 1/2 day K in Npt/E. Npt.

Cool, thanks! By too far from train, do you mean huntington or northports station?
Too far from Huntington. At the time my husband had to be in the city 5 days a week. Huntington is best for number/schedule of trains so we picked Greenlawn. BTW if you have any questions feel free to PM me. I don't like to get involved in the hijacks but I know a lot about this area and am happy to help!

After a few posts I began to realize it wasn't just a regular commenter chiming in!
Thanks for the info. We're going to keep our eyes open.

Personally, I loved East Northport when I lived there. Wish I had the money to buy a place there, but when we learned what the taxes were on some of the ranches (12K??), we knew it wasn't plausible for us.
Taxes I saw on the ranches were 5 to 8k. Third Avenue, 4th Street. How much were you looking to spend?
