Hi. Where is a good place/ way to meet new people in the area? I don't really have many friends and it gets really boring and lonely by myself all the time lol.
I think it would help to include the following info:
your age
location/town
interests
Girls never tell their age! Haha, I'm young but would hang with any age as long as they are cool. Im from Merrick. Anything can be fun with the right people.

well the Lohans all live in Merrick and they are crazy cool, dina cant drive now so if you pick her up party on with her and lyndsey
well - if I were in my 20's, single and looking to meet people in your area, I might check out Mulcahy's in Wantagh - maybe search online to see if any cover bands interest you. Huntington Village is nice, but pretty far from Merrick.
I would probably head into the city - lots of places to hang out downtown. Long Island is more family oriented. It's hard to make recommendations like this to a total stranger - but I hope this helps somewhat.
It's very hard... Long Island (like most other suburbs) are a very introverted place where ppl only focus on their families and pre-existing friends.
I don't know your age or what stage your at in your life, but the best way to make friends is by going to college and dorming/living off campus. It's easy and natural to befriend classmates and ppl on your floor.
If your not into college then try a local mall. The closest malls to you are probably the Roosevelt Field Mall or Sunrise mall. If your a decent looking girl then you will get male attention (if that's what your lookin for); but don't plan on making female friends.
If your into the illegal scene, you can look into Terrace Avenue in Hempstead.

As Recentlmoved asked. Can you tell us a bit about yourself? Give us a range for example 20 - 25, 25 -30.
What type interests do you have? Are they solitary, like reading a book or do you enjoy sports, photography, outdoor activities, crafts.? Are you into the bar scene?
We can offer suggestions but we need a bit more to gone on other than you are bored and lonely. Also, not trying to be mean here, but you have to actually "like" yourself to make others want to be your friend. You say you have few friends, why? Are you introverted? You may need to step outside of your comfort zone. You need to put effort into it and this is a good place to start.
Join a volunteer group for something that interests you! also there is meetup.com where you can search for groups close to where you live or by hobby.
