Small mysterious planes circling at night over l.i. (Riverhead: to buy, live in)

Has anyone else been noticing these things? For several months now, maybe a year, I have seen these small, quiet jet planes flying overhead in patterns-some wide circular patterns and some in straight, parallel paths every 5 or 10 minutes. They are definitely not passenger aircraft, and they fly pretty low- starting right after dark and going till midnight or 1am. I live in Mt Sinai near 25A and they come out every single night without fail. There has never been air traffic over here before and Ive lived here 10 years....Anyone else seen these things? They have a particular look to the lights and the sound is also identifiable. Are they surveillance planes or drones? Wireless signal interceptors? NSA?

just saw about 4 of these tonight over the Riverhead / Wading River area.

Weird as hell.......i had no idea what they were. I didnt hear much noise, they were flying at low altitudes and just kind of circling in a 5-10 mile radius.
