Glen oaks village (New York, Great Neck, Williston Park: to rent, coops, home)

Hi. I am relocating from London to New York and would looking for a place to rent on Long Island . I like the concept of a residential compound with large of families staying around - something like Glen Oaks - are there any such places on Long Island (queens or Nassau County).

Windsor Park, a few miles further west into Queens is similar to Glen Oaks I think.

Not sure of your price range but North Shore Towers is just north of Glen Oaks and includes its own golf course, movie theater and some stores. Excellent views from the hill top. However I am not sure if there is anything to rent for a short time or you have to buy. There is also another complex nearby to the west called Mont something (?) - I forget the exact name but it might be worth checking out.

You mention families. Will you be sending your children to school here? That will be important when deciding between Queens County vs. Nassau County.

You would need to rent a home but Williston Park is a lovely community, family friendly and a great community.
