snow is nuts - an inch or so down and I shoveled a bit - less than 10 mins later it's completely covered again. But it's still light and fluffy so if you're snow-machine-less, go take an inch or so off while you can.
Does it bother anyone else that these local news anchors report about the roads as they are operating a vehicle? It would be another thing entirely if they were in the passenger seat...
So far it looks like about 5-6 inches by me. My husband works in Garden city selling truck parts/snow plow parts and they were swamped with phone calls from various towns and villages they have contracts with. I'd be surprised if he got home by 6:30 pm. He gets off at 5pm. I hope my job is closed tomorrow, who's going out in a blizzard to eat Subway LOL.
The MTA will shut down its services at 11 PM.
From 11 PM a travel restriction for all roads including state, county & city. Violators can be fined $300.
Extensive delays and cancellations at the airports. Tomorrow all flights at LGA will be canceled.
