I'm reading that the EMFs from a fridge, or what your cell or iPad gives off is more dangerous than high tension lines. Does anyone agree with this? We are considering looking at Mt. Sinai schools. I had ruled them out in the past due to my fear of cancer, but people are telling me it's negligible compared to the dirty electricity in homes, cell towers, cell phones, yada yada yada. Any opinions?
It's about the same as your kids getting autism from vaccines. Any link between power lines and cancer is imaginary, based purely on pseudoscience and bored helicopter moms.

I have heard that there's a link between those lines and child leukemia rates, but there's no scientific evidence to support that stats. Thanks for your opinion. It's appreciated.
Has this surfaced again??? Must be a hole in the cosmic vortex..
Just because someone publishes an article doesn't make it valid, if your are that concerned consider living off the grid somewhere underground . Your environment as a whole will be an influence on you over time not just attending a school that is near power lines.

Umm...a tad harsh of a response for a polite question.

I wouldn't live near one. While vaccines are a necessary risk -per se- against terrible diseases, why 'take a chance' with power lines when there is zero reason NOT to live as far away as possible?
When we were looking at a house I didn't want to be near a transformer on a utility pole either. Passed on a house just for that reason and found a beautiful home that was NOT near one.

I had occasion to help a (medical) doctor look for a house. Her preferred choice was near high tension wires and when I pointed them out, she stated they didn't bother her at all. That's coming from a doctor...
