Looking to install linoleum in two small areas

One area is 100 sq
The second area is roughly 10 square feet

What would you charge for labor? Or what would you expect to pay?

Thanks

I would think of it this way:

How much would you want to leave your home, travel to someone else's home, take your tools out of your vehicle, carry the tools into the home, work for a few hours, clean up and make sure the job is done right so that you don't have to be called back, and potentially lose another job because you spent half a day doing a small job?

My guess would be about 150 - 200.

That sounds reasonable. I received one quote of $525 today. I felt that was way too high for such a small area and it being linoleum (and not hard wood or tile.)

IMO I would not contract a handyman to install linoleum. It's not a common material used in the last 15-20 years. If your quote was including material I would jump on it as long as you trust your installer.

OP is the material actually linoleum or sheet vinyl? I realize even I refer to vinyl as linoleum out of habit, must be an age thing.

Maybe it's sheet vinyl. I know linoleum has come a long way. It's a roll of vinyl-feeling material that looks like wood. Being that it is such a small area, I decided that would be the best and cost-effective option.

My liability, workers comp, commercial auto insurance combined are about $200 per day, not including other overhead.

The quote of $525 if the guy is licensed and insured is very reasonable.

That would most likely be sheet vinyl not Linoleum which is a different product to install. I believe the other poster actually thought it was the old school product.

Have you asked Lowes/Home Depot for a rough estimate to install a 10x10 room just so you can get an idea?

I will be honest and say I have never even heard of sheet vinyl. In 20+ years I have never seen it used on a job. I was always under the impression that only the elderly use such a product. My advice still stands. Use someone that does this application regularly.
