I will be moving to Bohemia, NY for work. Are there any Indian communities near by with good school to put my 4.5yrs into? How is the public transport in Long Island?
I would be moving in with my wife and 4.5yrs son. Is a one bedroom apartment sufficient for the 3 of us? or would I need a 2 bedroom? What is the appx rental for a 1-2bedroom apartment?

There's a large Indian community in East Islip, but I'm not sure about Bohemia. I would suggest a 2 bedroom, but I don't know how you're accustomed to living. If your child has a friend over, they can play in his/her room. Good luck to you.

There is? We've been in East Islip since the late 1980s and I wish they were. EI could use a good Indian restaurant. We trek to Hicksville for one.

Then it's Central Islip? Although my cousin was in a complex in East Islip and she was in the minority, as most residents were Indian. I'm not saying there is dining there, I'm just speaking about population. Hicksville and New Hyde Park seem to have the largest Indian communities on the island.
