11.8% if I'm doing it right.

13k (after exemptions) divided by 1114 (after grievance).

What does this even mean?

Mine is 3.4%..... With Star

11+%??? Wow that is incredibly high...

I dont think that is correct.. I took my assessed value in $$

Example Taxes Paid= 5,000 / Assessed Value in $$$$ 100,000

5,000 Divided by 100,000 = .05 or 5%

I have two values, fair market value and assessed value both in $$. Then I have the assessed value in a numeric.

I can't math. Hurts my head.
But, whatever my rate is it's too high. I'm paying 10 grand a year for a clam shack on a postage stamp. But "woo woo the schools". Whatever. I just love how all the smoke and mirror numbers drop yet my taxes still go up. Its like magic!

Guess the schools aren't that good if you can't compute math.

My district has well regarded schools, numbers wise it is one of the top rated. My experience says otherwise. It's all smoke and mirrors and lip service. They dropped the ball repeatedly on my son. Excuse after excuse and shifting blame. So when I pay my taxes I just want to flip out. All I am doing is supporting bloated salaries.
