90 years old... that's just unsafe, for everybody else sharing the road with him. Sudden health issues, slow reaction times, minimum speed limits... yikes.
They do have that divider (the one with posts and cables) on Nicolls but many of them are wiped out after a storm.
Bad weather + inexperienced SBU drivers + soccer moms going too fast in their SUVs = trouble.
MarkJames, are you sure? Whenever I'm taking exit 62 up to 347, I don't see any kind of divider preventing those rollovers. Then again, it's difficult to see without any road lights or lane deflectors!!!!

North of 347 - between 347 and 25A - was what I was referring to. You're correct, I don't recall anything south of 347 on Nicolls.
Long Island has changed a lot. Jobs are leaving left and right and the wages are low here. I am on the verge of being homeless. Lost my job was laidoff. Been taking the bus to find work. Went back to school and got certified as a medical assistant. They wont hire me for lack of experience. My 1992 chevy geo prizm died. I don't have a car anymore and cannot afford another one. I recommend look at other states to move that may offer better job prospects. Long island is expensive and its very hard to make it here.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Keep trying and thinking outside the box and you'll find opportunity.

So sorry that you're struggling right now. Please call your local church, they can put you in touch with food pantries and many have free clothing racks to go through. Good luck.
Thank you both. Yes there is a food pantry where I live that I get food from. I am just trying to stay positive and keep being proactive hoping I can turn my situation around.

The possibilities are endless. You could even begin a free blog site (use Blogger) about your profession, write content, paste Adsense ads and make money from clicks. (Medical clicks pay a lot, btw.)
You'll get traffic to your site from people interested in your field. Call yourself a "consultant" and you're an instant authority. Add a contact link and a visitor may lead to a job.
Network at Facebook, forums, LinkedIn, etc. It's so much easier now using the internet than in year's past. Good luck.
