Thank you all for responding. Property size is not a problem. I have more than an acre of land to build. I was looking for a ball park number without appliances.

"Given the poor state of Architectural education" could you please explain why you wrote this. Have you had experience with an Architect and if have could you please explain?

Do you think an Architect should not be paid for his experience, knowledge, ideas, and time?
