Going to a concert in Bayport this coming Friday night and have time to kill, any suggestions on things to do during the day. I will have the use of a rental car.

Thanks.

No Bayard Cutting is in Oakdale.
Planting Fields is by Bayville.

Oops, my apologies. I've been away too long, apparently.

Walk through the town in the Sayville or Patchogue. Go down to Corey beach or if you have a lot of time take the ferry to Fire Island.

The Arboretum is nice. The Villages of Sayville and Patchogue have good restaurants and bars and are good for a short walk. Flo's snack bar at Corey Beach is a fun blast from the past. Robert Moses State Park is less than a half an hour ride away if you want to see a big ocean beach.

Take the Sayville or Patchogue ferry to Fire Island in the Morning. I would do Patchogue to Watch Hill or Davis Park.
