It is my understanding Sears is out of business or going out?? I had bought this dishwasher new in 2003 from them. It does not turn on. Unfortunately due to other house repairs and upgrades this has been put on the back burner. Has not worked in 2 years. One day I went to use it and it wouldn't turn on. I am going to check out the owners manual for repair as well. My husband is not too savvy with these things otherwise he would have tried to fix it. If Sears appliance still exits I might call them. I am in Islip NY. Thanks
I always look in the paperwork that came with the appliance, and call the 800# they provide. They'll put you in contact with an authorized local repair company. It could be something simple, like a blown internal fuse, or hopefully not something major like a blown computer card. Maybe even a door sensor, that tells the machine when the door is open or closed. That would be a simple repair.
Thanks, what about A & E factory service, the one's in the blue and green truck?
A&E are the biggest crooks I have ever come across. Charged an additional $75 claiming that serviceman had to look up owners manual online after I asked him a simple question about fridge he had come to service. After numerous phone calls and assistance from BBB, I received a $75 refund and a nasty letter stating I was lucky to get my money back. Never Again!

Thanks I won't use them. Are there any other companies I can trust besides sears?? Just want to compare prices.

Even down here A&E stinks. Go to Bosch's web site Bosch Appliance Repair Service | Los Angeles Seattle Boston Phoenix... , put your zip code in and 3 service providers (not Sears or A&E) come up as options. You could check with Lowes/Home Depot and see who they have on record, most appliances are similar so a service company should be able to repair it for you.
I called Bosch already they want $129 in the door and an additional $12 for every 6 minutes the guy is there. I am going with Sears since that's where I got it. Booked the appointment for Saturday between 8 am and 12 noon. Thanks for the help.
Good luck. I've used them before, too, and they were fine. Hopefully it's something simple. I'd guess that if parts are needed, they'll have to be ordered, and then they will have to come back and install them.
