As far as a home buyer or seller? No. But I do a lot of work for DE, and my friends work for them, and they are an absolutely great company to work for and with. Sorry I can't help you further.
Does anyone have any experience with either? Thanks-
I have.
In 2014, Signature had more listings, homes under contract and closed sales in the Town of Huntington, than any other company. So far for 2015, that continues to hold true.
Amyla, I responded above as a single customer, Elke on the other hand is a very active poster and helpful to all and as a real estate professional she experiences all aspects of the business. I would place a lot of weight on what she says. Just my opinion.
We listed with Elliman. Our realtor is very professional, and we have had great feedback. They use a professional photographer that takes pics of your property and showcase it in the best possible light. What I liked most about DE is their market analysis/comps - they have a great way to package all the info together that shows you how many homes sold in X time, what avg listing price/sales price was, etc. When you meet w/ a DE realtor, they will run a complete analysis of your home and compare it to other most recently listings and sold properties. You will literally get a binder full of print-outs from MLSLI showing all the properties that are currently on the market, recently sold, are considered short-sales/foreclosures, and length of time between listing date and closing date. They also provide a complete breakdown of how many people have bookmarked/saved your home on Zillow, how many hits/views your property has taken on commercial sites like Realtor.com; Redfin, etc. Granted, most of the info they give you all comes from public sources (Zillow, RedFin, MyNassauproperty.com) which you can do yourself, but DE does all the work for you so it saves time.
I have no info about Signature so can't comment on that company. I agree it all depends on who your specific realtor is- you can have crappy realtors at good agencies, and great realtors at unknown agencies. Take your pick.

Any good agent should do his, regardless of the company s/he works for.
Both are very good and reputable agencies. However, your experience will depend more upon the individual agent then the agency they work for.
