If I could transport my current house would it be Southampon, Manhasset, Laurel Hollow etc. Although I would imagine a 60x100 split in Laurel hollow would be a fun sight to look at. Maybe a beach block in Long Beach, maybe walking distance to train, who knows.
It sounds to me like the question is "what towns have the nicest community and commute?" then.

Which town would you pick to have your home?

Same question for Suffolk folk.
Carteret Place in Garden City or Elderfields Road in Manhasset if I had to commute

If I didn't have to commute, then a waterfront estate in Lloyd Harbor or Lloyd Neck

shocked, appalled, and disappointed that nobody has mentioned Rocky Point. What is this board coming to?

What is the most remote, desolate, unpopulated area of LI? That's where I would live.
If money were not a thing and I was held at gunpoint to stay here.
Of course if it was just the money is not an issue thing I would not stay here.
What would that be? Center Island? Asharoken/Eatons Neck?

Why not?

If you're talking about the beach, not everyone loves it.
