Is biking permitted in Connetquot SP? (Oakdale: activities, horses, bike)

I know they have hiking trails at Connectquot River State Park in Oakdale.
I also see a paved bike path along the north side of Sunrise when I drive by.

Are the trails inside the park multi-use and allow bicycles (mountain/trail bikes) for family/kid use?

No bikes in the park. Hiking only. Horses allowed by (costly) permit.

The trail you mention is the only section open to bicycles.

Beware of ticks and chiggers. The preserve is infested.

I am glad you asked this because hubby and I were planning to go here with our bikes, I guess we will do Heckscher.

Note that while listed as a state "park" Connetquot is actually a "preserve." As a result, many activities are banned or limited.
