I would like to know what is involved in a fence inspection in town of NH.. Do they come into the house as part of the inspection? Just bought a house and was wondering about authorization of letting inspector in house as part of the inspection application. thanks in advance

OP, there is NO reason for the town inspector to come in to your house unless you invite him in. The inspection is for the fence and any inspection is done outside. They will measure height length etc. based on what your submitted plans and approved permit was for. If you want to give the inspector a tour of your home that is up to you. But by no means can the inspector ask to see the interior of the home unless their a permit for any interior work.

thanks for the quick reply. I posted it because on the page of owners authorization form, it states:

"I agree to permit the building Inspector and any officer of the T. of N.H. to enter upon the premises in the discharge of their duties with this application."

but nothing illegal inside, just a fence. Thanks again

Exactly as stated. "With this application". You misread it. If for example, you were installing an a/c unit, there would be cause to look in your basement or garage for the electrical panel. With a fence there is no reason for him to go into the house.
