I am planning to move to Long Island and wonder does Roslyn Heights offers a GOOD school district? Any of your children attend there? How do you like it so far?

Does Roslyn Heights school system as Good as to any of the top ones such as Manhasset, Herricks or East Williston?

What is your first impression when you heard Roslyn Schools? My child will attend elementary school there if we move to LI this year.

Any comments would helps thanks

Roslyn school district is excellent. And some parts of roslyn heights are zoned for East Williston and Herricks too.

Another take is virtually every elementary school in Nassau, except a few obvious ones, are not Good but EXCELLENT. An elementary school in New Hyde Park or Merrick is virtually indistinguishable from one in Garden City or Roslyn.

If you intend on remaining in your house through high school then the school districts do matter and for the price/taxes you will pay in Roslyn you would be better served in east Williston, Manhasset or GN.

I agree that you should look at other factors. All 3 districts are good, but if you want a small school setting than Wheatley is the smallest. If the train is important to you than manhasset offers a much better train line than the other 2. I do think that you will get much more for your money in roslyn and east williiston than in manhasset though.

Just be aware that parts of Roslyn Heights are in the East Williston SD, parts are in the Mineola S.D, parts are Herricks S.D. and still others are Roslyn S.D. Roslyn Heights does not have a school district of its' own.

If you can tell us what elementary school your child will go to we can tell you what district you are in. It may be Roslyn but it may not be.
