Looking into the house in North Bellmore, but after reading this forum have a few concerns. I visited the local precinct and they told me that the area is great and peaceful. Anyone can comment? Thanks.

Please don't make real estate decisions based on what someone posts in a public internet forum. If you have real concerns, do a drive-by at night, maybe talk to some neighbors.

North Bellmore not worth the money IMO. Try Centerport, Bayville, Northport/East Northport.

My best friend lives there and i visit frequently. Seems to be a nice town overall- they havent had any issues thus far. They also are very happy with the school district as well.

It's fine. Someone on these forums saw someone with a dusky hue walking down Bellmore Ave once and fled south of Sunrise in terror, but you'll be OK. Drive around, check out the school rankings and upward trajectory of the home quality and prices and make your decision accordingly.

Don't move to Centerport or Bayville unless you enjoy a long commute to anywhere.

North Bellmore is a nice area. It's a middle class town with a good school district.

Some people say, Wantagh and Merrick are are slightly more desirable but they are really all the same thing to me. They are all so close together that you will spend time running errands in all 3 towns on a daily basis.

Where in North Bellmore?

Bayville commute isn't horrible. You can drive to Oyster Bay or Syosset if you want to use the Huntington line.

interesting suggestion considering so many people from those areas drive to Hicksville to avoid the lousy commute from those stations. If you're not familiar with the areas/stations why comment at all?

People drive from Syosset to take the Hicksville train? News to me, since Hicksville is one stop over on the same train. You must not be very familiar with the Huntington line.

Oyster Bay line is bad, but that's the price you pay for an affordable North Shore Nassau beach town.

Centerport and Bayville are better districts and locations. It's not the N. Bellmore commute, but it's certainly an option.

I get the feeling that there's not much that isn't.

there are MANY areas that offer better districts and such - but without knowing this person's criteria your suggestions are pointless. Nice effort though!
