I'm so sorry this happened to you, Lubby. It's scary.
Years ago someone broke into my house in Babylon while I was home in another part of the house--I felt so violated once I discovered it!

Posted the video as well; hopefully someone will recognize the culprit.

Hey L

Just saw this post. Sorry this happened to you and glad your safe. Yes this is all over facebook have seen it on many different pages. The main comments are that it's scary, the guy is a scumbag and what kind of door do you have because that is what kept this guy out. I'll stop by your work soon.

Thanks!!!! The door is steel that I got from home depot 10 years ago with dead bolt locks. Nothing high tech or fancy.

Years ago i was a private contractor. We used to install a heavy galvanized steel plate on the back of the door jamb where the deadbolt was. This would make it ALMOST impossible to kick through. You got lucky he didn't get through that door, I am guessing the deadbolt screws in the jam were installed properly going through the plate, jamb, then into the stud. Hopefully that POS get's caught.

I just bought that steel plate today at Lowes. My husband is installing it today. It was $68 but well worth it.

Spoke to a detective today and so far no one has been caught, they are still investigating it. They said they will ne contacting local news agencies to see if they will post video on TV. I fixed the door and they said to bring a copy of the receipt.

Thanks for the update. Being the nature of this crime & obvious very violent temper he shows they need to show video on all news stations. As well as offer a reward to entice someone to turn him in. He needs to be caught before he really hurts or kills someone. If he hasn't already. That video is very graphic at the end.
