The best area of SEAFORD is north of the Southern State. The taxes are about 30-40% cheaper and you're in just as good school districts either ISLAND TREES or Levittown/MacArthur.

Seaford tends to get worse the more south you go. Especially Seaford Harbor which is loaded with Section 8 and house boats.

Depending upon the street, the smidgen of Seaford north of the Southern State is zoned Levittown, Island Trees, or Plainedge.

Really, it is?? I don't think a single houseboat survived Sandy, and most of the old bungalows were destroyed in the storm. Lots have been gobbled up and beautiful homes have been built. Please share with us where the Section 8 houses and house boats are. Specific streets please. Thanks.

when 1-1-2018 reassessment happens houses like that will be tagged at their low recent sales price. In long run the tax savings vs buying an all redone house for 200K might make up for the headaches
