I have to take a mid-day train to Penn this week and I need to find parking at this station. I am a resident of the town of Hempstead (not Oyster Bay so can't use Oyster Bay lots). Private lots are fine and I'd prefer not to do meters (I won't be back until PM rush hour).

I'd prefer Hicksville but I'm open to other stations. Anything from Bethpage, Westbury, Carle Place, or Mineola.

If you suggest a station could you also suggest parking locations?

THANKS!

Go to Peppercorns in Hicksville drive away from 106/107 you will find some parking on the side streets there for free. It is 6-7 minute walk to the station from there.

this wasn't one of your preferred stations, but if I recall correctly, Seaford has a very large non-resident lot that never fills up. And the station itself is located directly off 135.

which part of hempstead are you in? some stations have connecting bus service timed with trains like mineola and others. Seaford is worse as those trains make more stops resulting in longer trip times.

Just make sure you are on the correct side. Look for the signs on the west side of the lot. About a 3rd of that lot is open to anyone.

You can't go wrong with the Babylon Branch. Seaford beats Westbury anyday.
Yes I have Babylon Branch envy, like most Main Liners do.
Only the PW branch is faster, but you can forget about finding parking there!

Is Floral Park too far West? It's the Hempstead line and parking is metered..so you don't need a town permit or pass.
