What are your favorite Seafood or Italian Restaurants in Nassau or Western Suffolk County?

Two of my favorite cuisines. I have pretty much tried everything in Queens. So I am looking to branch out.

I have not tried many Italian places on Long Island. I have only been to Jordan's Lobster Farm.

Have you been to Forno in Maspeth. I know it's Queens, but I bet you haven't been there.

I love Ragazzi in Lake Grove, across from the Smithaven Mall, and yes, I agree that Joanina's in Huntington is great, too.

I hear Verace in Islip on Main St is very good

I hear Primi in West Islip is very good

Oh, for less pricy but still nice and very good food is La Capannina in Holtsville, in the Island 16 movie theater parking lot. Exit 62 L.I.E.

For outstanding thin crust pizza, cooked in a coal fired oven, made with fresh mozzarella, try The Pie: Pizza Napoletana in Port Jefferson, or Salvatore's in Bayshore (outdoor dining avail in summer). It's so good, you'll want to lick the serving tray!

Piccolo in Bellmore! Try the Seafood Quatro. That way you get Seafood & Italian at same time. It's awesome. Been going there since the mid 80's never disappointed.

Piccolo Ristorante - Bellmore, NY

Also in the same area Umbertos in Bellmore is great as well. They are connected to the Original New Hyde Park location.

As for seafood give Peters Clam Bar a try. They recently remodeled. The owner of this place is the same person that took over as new operator & the man responsible for saving the wonderful Milleridge Inn recently. This guy has the best food places on LI. He took over Coral House in Baldwin & kept them from shutting down too! And owns many successful places on LI when it comes to food & venues.

Peter's Clam Bar

Hope that helps you. Happy eating! Enjoy.
