I do miss debating Hamlet boundaries with Walter. Especially since I lived in Lindenhurst and he was telling that me part of Lindenhurst was actually in West Babylon even no one who actually lived in the area would agree with him. He did the same thing with someone when talking about Northport.

Turns out there is this little from the Wikipedia article about Hamlets https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Admini...ew_York#Hamlet
Suffolk County publishes maps that give hamlet boundaries,[41] but towns within the county also publish maps that conflict both in the number of hamlets and their boundaries.

So Walter was right about Suffolk County's maps. But I am right also because the Town of Babylon disagrees with Suffolk County about the boundary between Lindenhurst and West Babylon. So we are both right!

Walter's ghost will come and haunt you for this. It's all part of the Suffolk Vortex, which is just west of the magic Rocky Point tunnel.

Walter was crazed with town/village/hamlet boundries.

I do remember the Northport argument. My girlfriend lives on the border of Northport/East Northport but has a Northport mailing address. Technically the geographical location is East Northport so I fully understand Walter's reasoning, and even tease her about it sometimes. But NOBODY in that neighorhood says they live in East Northport.

Walter Greenspan - telling people where they live and pay taxes for 30 years isn't just a hobby, it's a lifestyle.
