Because leftists like long isle completely ignore self responsibility of the individual. If you are a minority and fail at something then it has to be societies fault somehow. Never your own.

No, the "white man" still considers us all yellow. But instead of complaining and expecting goverment handouts, we just work harder to overcome it.

At the end of the day, green is the only color that counts. If you make enough $$ you can live in Garden City or any damn neighborhood you want. As long as you behave, no one cares.

/\ true but, a renter of any color would have a much better chance at giving their child a better opportunity at Garden City school but, GC apparently intentionally and illegally kept them out. For shame.

It's expensive to rent in GC due to preponderance of SFHs, unlike Queens which has a lot of MFH stock. If renter has enough money to rent a whole house in GC, then he or she can send kids to GC schools.

A judge making a ruling isn't evidence of anything. Do you think Citizens United was a good decision? It was a politically motivated case and they got the result they desired. No one is "kept out" of Garden City except those who can't afford it.

If GC didn't rezoned this property there would be more multi family rental units available.

Sure. Just like nobody was kept out of Island Park and several other hamlets. Unfortunately for the current residents they have to pay back the illegal doings of a bunch of crooked Italians to the tune of 20MM. Your boy alfonse was the culprit there.

Crooked Italians? Gasp! Seems very xenophobic to me! What does their Italian heritage have to do with their illegal deeds? Would you have referred to some African Americans who broke the law as "crooked blacks"? Of course not. You lefties are so predictable...

Why would GC want to intentionally place multi family rental units within its village? Ever heard of Manhasset or Roslyn say - "Hey, we should build more multi family rental units within our villages so we can increase the student population in our schools, create more traffic and reduce street parking. Good idea!"
