I am looking for a single family house (3 bed & 2 bath). Property tax ( 10k - 12k) range. Budget is $500k or less. Close to LIRR. Good school district. I would prefer Nassau county. Currently live in Mineola NY. Mostly I work in NYC.

Possibly Westbury with East Meadow schools. Hicksville would be the best LIRR station.

Regarding Mineola - School ratings has gone down this year. I have noticed increased crimes too. I was considering Mineola till few weeks back.
Oh crime went up a couple of weeks ago? Test scores dipped this year? Run!
