Maybe you could pave over a portion of your lawn to fit another vehicle. Neighbors of mine did this and they have four cars parked on the premises. A car for everyone in the family (which I think is nuts, but never mind that).
I really don't think having a car for everyone in the family is that nuts, especially when you have college age or slightly older kids still living at home. Shortly after my sister and I graduated college (which was a year apart) we had four people in the house and four cars, we all worked in different areas.
Regarding the OP, it really depends how close they would be able to park. If they can park a block or two away, while it would not be ideal it probably wouldn't have a drastic impact on a potential tenat pool, especially considering you would probably have a decent portion of your tenent pool coming from Queens and might be somewhat use to it anyway,. If they have to park several blocks away it likely would severely limit your tenant pool.
Nothing like buying your own private home but needing to rent out the 3 bedroom apartment upstairs. Yuck. Might as well just rent an apartment in a building with all the noise and aggravation you'll be getting.
They certainly won't and the neighbors will gleefully report it, and rightfully so. It's for both aesthetics and drainage.
Reporting it could have happened 15 years ago. The house on the corner has part of his sideyard paved and a car is parked on it. The house across the street from me has a widened driveway for a 4th vehicle. The space uses part of the lawn.
Edited to add: Gibson Station could swing over to the block and see it for him/herself.

I hear what you saying. Thing is the extra income is great and in my opinion its worth it.
The house i plan on buying is in cochran pl. Does any one know how far overnight parking is.
There isn't any nearby that I am aware of. You would have to work out sharing the parking with your tenant, in my opinion. That's a good school district and other than the train literally running in your back yard, a pretty desirable place. There's also another two family for sale on Gibson Blvd. that doesn't back up onto the train.
