If you are just asking about school districts, Mt.Sinai is a good one. If my cousin's children are any indication - they were honors students, and went on to Wesleyan and Middlebury. I think it's a solid choice.

3 Village is great. But when they get to HS - the STEM oriented students seem to get the lion's share of attention and accolades. We are not a "STEM" family. Mt.Sinai or Port Jefferson (not Station) may actually have been a better fit for us.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. We are in fact moving in September. It's hard to find a rental home right now. I've seen something in Nesconset in the smithtown sd. Any comments?

There was a recent drug and gun bust in Mount Sinai so the whole town and schools must be bad.
